ONE OF THE BEST PARTS OF MY JOB IS THAT EVERY YEAR WE GET THE PRIVELEDGE OF MAKING THE
JOURNEY TO NEW YORK CITY TO BE A PART OF "THE BIG APPLE BLOCK PARTY". MIKE MILLS WAS ONE OF SIX FOUNDING PITMASTERS
INVITED TO START WHAT HAS BECOME AN ANNUAL MONUMENTAL EVENT.

YEAR WAS BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER. WITH 18 PITMASTERS REPRESENTING 13 STATES IT WAS COLLOSAL! AND OVER 125 THOUSAND FANS
FILLED THE STREETS OF NEW YORK CITY TO SINK THEIR TEETH INTO SOME GOOD BARBECUE VIDDLES.
The National Barbecue Convention was just held in Austin,TX. in February and I got to hang with "The Legend". Well as luck would have it we ended up at "the Green Mesquite" Barbecue Joint in Austin, and recently on "The Food Network".Well the place was cool, the food was smokin hot, and the beers were ice cold, everyone was happy to see us and I gotta tell ya they really know Brisket and Sausage in Texas.
